Ariake Bay's location is superb, just a brisk walk from the train station, which makes exploring Tokyo easy. The lounge area is fantastic with vending machines offering snacks and drinks. There’s a rooftop terrace for some fresh air. My capsule had a plug for charging devices, and the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms was appreciated.

Ariake Bay offered a fantastic stay at an affordable price. The capsules had a compact yet comfortable layout, complete with a power plug for charging devices. I enjoyed the shared lounge area. it had vending machines offering snacks and drinks, creating a nice vibe to relax after a busy day. It was great to have pajamas and toothbrushes provided, making my stay more convenient. However, the showers could’ve been cleaner. I noticed dust buildup on the ventilation fans. Plus, the lockers were limited to the first floor and didn’t accommodate larger suitcases well. This system felt inconvenient compared to other capsule hotels, where luggage could stay with guests. The mesh covering on the capsules also felt less secure, as it allowed others to see inside if the light was on. Despite these issues, the comfortable bed and essential amenities made my stay enjoyable.

Excellent shared lounge with great vending machines.
The experience was marred by unfriendly staff who seemed annoyed at every interaction. I felt uncomfortable while walking to the shared facilities due to the layout and lack of privacy. There was also limited climate control, causing some discomfort inside the capsule.

My kids wished for better storage for our larger bags and suitcases.

It was just a fitting option for a fleeting pause in Tokyo with good value for price. The lounge had great vending machines for snacks and drinks. Bring an eye mask to avoid the bright lights inside the capsule.
